Following the Route of Independence we come across an important landmark in Mexico’s history: Hacienda Corralejo, the place where Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, Father of our Homeland was born. Besides its marvelous architecture, Hacienda Corralejo is the home of “Tequilera Corralejo”, the only open-house Tequila Distillery.

Our tour takes us to “El Museo del Vino y la Botella” (Museum of Wine and Bottle) , the largest of its kind in Mexico. A great variety of drinks from different parts of the world, there are more than 3000 bottles. Visitors can observe beautiful gardens, San Ignacio de Loyola Chapels occupies the central area of the patio.

 

You will be appreciated the process of reception of those "pineapples" of agave, the baked, the mill, the fermentation and distillation, the aging and finally bottled. You can taste tasted the four tequilas, wines and beers distilling there.
