TOUR OVERVIEW

A tour of the best of the lakeside of Páptzcuro Lake. Your tour will begin a venture close to Michoacan's largest Lake. The first stop will be Tzintzuntzan, old capital of the Purépecha Empire famous by the archaeological area, built on a platform with five circular pyramids well-known as Yácatas. The sights to visit will be: 1) old monastery of St. Francis of the XVI century built by Fray Juan de San Miguel; its atrium has olive trees that were planted by Don Vasco de Quiroga. 2) Church of our Lady of La Salud , where is the enigmatic image of Christ called “Cristo del Santo Entierro” a five century antiquity, it was elaborated with a prehispanic technique of corn's cane paste.

Second stop will be Pátzcuaro, one of the most beautiful typical towns in Latin America with wonder buildings and monumental Temples of the XVI, XVII and XVIII century; home of the bishopric of Don Vasco de Quiroga. The attractions to visit will be: 1) basilica of Our Lady of La Salud. 2) The "Sagrario" (Sanctuary), 3) Temple and College of the Company of Jesus. 4) House of the Eleven Patios, 5) Vasco de Quiroga Square. Free food options to choose.

Final stop will be Erongarícuaro, visiting the Franciscan Church and Convent of the XVI century, decorated with original paintings of that period of time, You will return to the hotel.
